Dear Friends,

I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself and communicate our business strategy, and mindset, here at WCSB.  As you may know, I was recently appointed by our Board of Directors to lead The Waterford Commercial and Savings Bank. Our commitment as an independent and locally owned community bank has not waivered and is stronger than ever since its humble beginnings in 1908.

For those of you who do not know me, I’m originally from Waterford.  I graduated from John Carroll University in Cleveland and upon graduation I was commissioned as an Officer in the US Army.  I served in the Army for 8 years as a logistician. Having a longing to get back to my hometown I returned to Waterford, bought a home and began working for an Ohio Veteran’s Service Organization non-profit where I was the Executive Director for 10 years.  When the opportunity to work and live in the Beverly-Waterford Community arose I jumped at the chance. An interesting fact is that my Great Grandfather “Red” Cronin once served as the President of this bank and I’m proud to carry on in his footsteps.

Service to others has been the mainstay of my career experience.  As the leader of the bank I have a new opportunity to serve the folks of this community.  It’s exciting to assist customers in buying their first home, or even building their first home. Planning for retirement or upgrading their automobile. If you have not met me, you will find that I am energetic and passionate about this community and its banking needs. I am active in the community and want to assist those same people I grew up with, work with, play with, and share a community with. As we look ahead to the coming year, our position as a community bank continues to be strong.  We will continue to honor the safe and conservative principles that have served us well over the years.

None of this would be possible were it not for the support of our loyal customer base. It’s the money that you deposit and the loans that you borrow from us that enable us to support community sports teams and non-profit organizations thru our donations. Your business is also the vehicle that spurs economic growth in the local community by creating jobs at our bank that are filled by your neighbors.  By banking locally with us you can rest assured that you will have a strong and direct impact on your local community.

We are also working diligently on various targeted strategies that will enhance shareholder value and provide our consumers and communities the services that they will love. We realize that technology is critical to efficiency and maintaining that competitive edge. As a result, we’ve added (MRDC ) Mobile Remote Deposit Capture, (A to A) Account to Account Transfer, and (P to P) Person to Person Pay to make banking even more convenient.

As the leader of this organization, I am very proud of the work of our team and their unwavering commitment to our organization and the communities we serve. We encourage all of our stakeholders to visit our website: www.waterfordbank.com  and stay informed about our progress. Thank you for your time and please feel free to contact me personally with any questions you may have.
